CBD, the classic

CBD (cannabidiol) is the best-known cannabinoid from industrial hemp. It is considered non-intoxicating. In Germany, a THC limit of 0.3% applies to CBD products made from industrial hemp. As a vape, CBD is available in many flavours.

What is banned, and why?

In June 2024, HHC and several related substances were added to the New Psychoactive Substances Act (NpSG). Since then, selling, buying and possessing these substances has been a criminal offence in Germany. The NpSG is deliberately broad and covers entire groups of substances in order to include derivatives as well.
