What is hash?

Hash, short for hashish, is traditionally the pressed resin of the hemp plant. The trichomes of the flowers are compressed into a firm, mouldable mass. In this overview you will find classic hemp products such as CBD hash as well as modern types such as Frozen Hash and HHZ hash.

Good to know: not every product here comes from the hemp plant. Kanna and blue lotus are plant products in their own right. We describe each type honestly by category, so you know what you are getting.

Frozen Hash from Meshflash

Frozen Hash is made using a solvent-free ice water extraction and is enriched with a modern, specifically manufactured cannabinoid. This means it is not a classic hemp product but a modern interpretation of hash. Available types are Frozen Hash Piatella, Blueberry Fresh and Purplegum. CBD hash from industrial hemp

HHZ hash

HHZ hash is based on the modern, specifically manufactured cannabinoid HHZ and is not a classic hemp product. It has a soft, creamy consistency and is designed for direct use. Currently available is HHZ Hash Nepal Cream, with more types in the HHZ Hash category.

Kanna and blue lotus

Kanna hash and blue lotus hash are not classic cannabis products. Kanna (Sceletium tortuosum) is a South African plant, and the product contains neither cannabinoids nor nicotine. What is the legal situation for hash products?

CBD hash comes from industrial hemp and stays below the legal THC limit. HHZ is currently listed neither in the Narcotics Act (BtMG) nor in the annex of the New Psychoactive Substances Act (NpSG) (as of August 2026). How do you smoke hash?

Hash comes as a firm or soft piece and is broken up before use. How to handle the different forms:

• Soften pressed pieces by warming them slightly, then they can be crumbled
• Soft types such as HHZ Hash Nepal Cream have a creamy consistency
