- Who it may be suitable for and who not
T9HC is a manufacturer and market name for a synthetically produced cannabinoid that is made in the lab and not obtained from industrial hemp. At Cannabude, it belongs to the Canapuff product line and is available as vapes, flowers, hash and joints. The abbreviation is not an official chemical designation, and there are no studies under this name so far. What can be said is found in the product information and in user reports. We put both into context here, together with the difference to T8HC and THC.
What is T9HC?
The abbreviation T9HC appears on packaging and in shops, not in textbooks or substance databases. Several brands use this name on the market. With us, T9HC comes from Canapuff, as a line across several formats. The product texts state: “T9HC is a cannabinoid that is produced in the lab.” The manufacturer does not reveal more.
Three points are important for classification. T9HC is not CBD, even if it is placed next to CBD products in some shops. Nor is it THC, the vapes are declared with 0.0 % THC. And it does not come from the hemp plant, it is produced synthetically. The name is reminiscent of delta-9-THC, and some guide sites even use “T9HC” as a spelling for delta-9-THC. On the market, however, it refers to a cannabinoid produced in the lab. Whether the formulation is chemically related to delta-9-THC is not proven by the name alone.
What it consists of and what research knows
We have not found a published structural formula. Different information circulates online: some retailer texts describe a shorter side chain than THC, others a longer one. Neither claim has a source, and they contradict each other. We therefore do not adopt either of them.
The research situation is empty too. The term does not appear in scientific databases, there are no studies in humans, no data on tolerability and no measurements of duration. This is not an isolated case with new cannabinoids. Many substances first come onto the market as a product, and research follows years later, if at all.
Only the information on the products themselves can be verified: the stated content, the filling quantity, the aroma profile. The percentage in the product name (95 % for the vapes, 99 % for flowers, hash and joints) is a manufacturer statement. A lab analysis for it is not linked on the product pages.
T9HC effects: what users report
Because there are no studies, all that remains for the question of effects is what users themselves write. The user reports in forums and reviews are inconsistent. Some describe the line as rather mild, others report a clearly noticeable effect. A pleasant, rather physical feeling and, towards the end, tiredness are mentioned.
There is no reliable information on duration. The reports give very different periods, usually without saying which product and which amount are meant. We therefore do not give a number.
These descriptions are subjective and not a promise. How someone experiences a cannabinoid depends on body weight, tolerance, how they feel that day and amount. In addition, nobody can say from the outside how consistent the formulation is from batch to batch. According to the shop, the profile names Balanced, Deep, Euforic and Extreemly describe the aroma of the respective variety, not a specific effect.
T9HC and THC: what is behind the name
There is only a partly clear answer to the question “T9HC vs THC”. What can be said for certain is how the two substances differ in origin, research and legal framework:
- Origin: THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol) occurs naturally in the cannabis plant. T9HC is produced in the lab.
- Research: THC has been studied for decades. There is not a single study on the Canapuff formulation.
- Legal framework: In Germany, THC is regulated in the Consumer Cannabis Act (KCanG) and the Medical Cannabis Act (MedCanG). There is no specific regulation for the formulation, more on this below.
- Declaration: The T9HC vapes in the shop are stated with 0.0 % THC.
Whether T9HC feels more or less pronounced than THC cannot be proven. Retailer texts claim both. There is no measurement that supports such a comparison, and we therefore do not make any statement about it.
T9HC and T8HC: the difference
T8HC is Canapuff's second cannabinoid line. T8HC is also a manufacturer name for a synthetically produced formulation, and here too, structural formula and studies are missing. The two lines therefore cannot be compared chemically. Nobody can give a proven answer to the question “Which is stronger, T9HC or T8HC?”.
The difference in the range is clear. The T8HC vapes are only available from us as a 1 ml pen, but in two editions: four varieties with 95 % (Jungle Monkey, Gorilla Power, Gorilla Kush, King Gorilla) and an Ultra Edition with 99 %, which according to the product text comes as a disposable and bears the names of well-known genetics (Green Crack, AK47, OG Kush, Double Bubble). T9HC, on the other hand, has four profiles that are available in several formats. If you want a specific Canapuff aroma as a vape and as a flower, you will only find that with T9HC. If you are looking for a classic strain name in a pen, look at T8HC.
Vape, flowers, hash and joints: the formats in the shop
All products of the line at Cannabude come from Canapuff. The line spans four formats:
- Vape: The T9HC vapes have a filling quantity of 1 ml and are stated at 95 %, in the profiles Balanced, Deep, Euforic and Extreemly. For the Euforic profile, the product page mentions a disposable vape. We do not sell a 2 ml version or a refill liquid.
- Flowers: The T9HC flowers are stated at 99 % and available in seven varieties: the four profiles plus Purple Queen, Blue Widow and Maui Wowie, each in 1, 2 or 5 g.
- Hash: Hash is available in the four profiles, also stated at 99 %.
- Joints: Pre-rolled joints with a flower blend, in the four profiles and stated at 99 %.
According to the product text, what differs between the varieties is the aroma. Euforic is sweet and floral, Deep spicy, deep and earthy, Extreemly spicy, Balanced rounded with fruity and herbal notes. According to the declaration, all vapes are nicotine free. Delivery usually takes 2 to 5 working days, and we only sell to adults aged 18 and over.
Comparison table: T8HC, HHZ and CBD
The table places T9HC and T8HC next to HHZ and CBD, which many people already know. The column “User reports” summarises how user reports classify the substances. None of it is measured.
| Substance | Content according to manufacturer | Formats at Cannabude | User reports | Legal status (October 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| T9HC | 95 % (vape), 99 % (flowers, hash, joints) | Vape 1 ml, flowers, hash, joints | inconsistent, from rather mild to clearly noticeable | not mentioned in BtMG Annexes I to III, not listed by name in Annex 1 of the NpSG, no reliable official classification known, can change |
| T8HC | 95 %, Ultra Edition 99 % | only vape 1 ml | few reports, equally inconsistent | not mentioned in BtMG Annexes I to III, not listed by name in Annex 1 of the NpSG, no reliable official classification known, can change |
| HHZ | 95 % (vape) | Vapes, flowers, hash, joints | usually described as rather mild | currently not listed by name in either the BtMG or the NpSG annex, this can change with any amending ordinance |
| CBD | up to 95 % (vape) | Vapes, flowers | described as very mild, barely noticeable in the head | from industrial hemp, THC limit 0.3 % (KCanG § 1 no. 9) |
How HHZ, H2 and H3 differ from each other is explained in the guide HHZ, H2 and H3 compared.
Legal classification: as of October 2026
We do not make a legal statement about T9HC. What we have checked: T9HC does not appear in Annexes I, II and III of the German Narcotics Act (BtMG), nor does T8HC (source: BtMG Annex II on gesetze-im-internet.de). T9HC and T8HC are not listed by name in Annex 1 of the New Psychoactive Substances Act (NpSG). Annex 1 covers entire substance groups via their chemical structure (NpSG Annex 1). Whether a product falls under one of these groups depends on its exact structure, and this has not been disclosed here.
We are not aware of any reliable official classification. This can change with any new amending ordinance. HHC shows how quickly this can happen: it was added to the NpSG annex in 2024 and has been listed in Annex II of the BtMG since 23 May 2026. Our overview of cannabinoids in Germany gives an overview of other substances.
Who it may be suitable for and who not
The line is aimed at adults who already know cannabinoid products and know how they themselves react to them. If you are looking for one aroma in several formats, you will find the right selection in the Canapuff line. If, on the other hand, you expect reliable data on ingredients and tolerability, you will not currently get them here, and that should factor into your decision.
The line is not suitable for:
- people under 18
- pregnant and breastfeeding women
- people with pre-existing mental health conditions or cardiovascular problems
- anyone who will drive or operate machinery afterwards
- people who have to pass regular drug tests
- people with no experience at all with cannabinoids
