How does a cannabinoid vape work technically?

A cannabinoid vape consists of a battery, a heating element (coil), a tank or cartridge and a mouthpiece. When you take a puff, a sensor or a button activates the battery, the coil heats the liquid to vaporisation temperature, and an aerosol is produced. How evenly this works depends on the viscosity of the liquid, the coil design and the battery output. Mesh coils spread the heat over a larger surface than classic wire coils.

How many puffs does a vape have?

The number of puffs a device delivers depends mainly on the fill volume, the battery capacity and the length of each puff. Manufacturers usually state the fill volume in millilitres, and some also give an estimated number of puffs. Long puffs use more liquid than short ones, so any puff count is only a guideline.

How long does a vape last?

With disposable vapes, the service life ends when the liquid or the battery is empty. With cartridge systems, you only replace the cartridge, and the battery device stays in use across many cartridges. How long a device lasts therefore depends on the fill volume, the battery capacity and how you use it.
