Why was HHC banned?

On 27 June 2024, the German federal government added HHC and other derivatives (HHC-O, HHC-P, Delta-8-THC, Delta-10-THC, THCP) to the NpSG. Since then, trade, manufacture and possession have been criminal offences. HHZ, H4CBD, DNT-9 and Superior Blends (H2/H3) are currently listed neither in the BtMG nor in the NpSG annex (as of August 2026). CBD, CBG and CBN from industrial hemp are also not affected. The legal situation may change.
